About Lauren G. Baker
Lauren Goodman Baker’s practice focuses primarily on health care law.
She graduated from the University of North Alabama in 2004 summa cum laude with a major in Public Communications and a minor in Psychology. As an undergraduate, Lauren was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Order of Omega honor societies.
Lauren attended Cumberland School of Law at Samford University on a full Presidential Scholarship for Leadership and Academics. She graduated in May 2007 and was admitted to the Alabama Bar Association that fall. While at Cumberland, Lauren served as a Judge Abraham Caruthers Legal Writing Teaching Fellow and competed as a member of Cumberland’s nationally-recognized Trial Team.
After law school, Lauren practiced civil defense litigation with a focus on municipal defense until going back to school for a Master of Science in Health Administration. Lauren worked for several years in operations and development in a healthcare setting before returning to the full-time practice of law with a focus on health care law.
Lauren and her husband Josh Baker have a young son, Wilder and live in Birmingham with their two dogs, Finn and Hagan.
