Judy Shepura will be presenting at the 7th Annual Probate & Estate Planning Conference for Alabama Attorneys. She will cover topics relating to recent developments in special needs and elder law and include information regarding the ABLE Act, a proposed statute that will require that Medicaid be notified as a creditor in every probate estate, new laws related to Alabama guardianships and new law requiring financial advisors to report financial exploitation of elders, as well as at the federal level, a new law that makes it possible for military personnel to name a special needs trust as beneficiary for child.
