Prenuptial and Postnuptial Agreements

A prenuptial agreement helps a couple determine how their assets will be divided before marriage in the event of death or divorce. Prenuptial agreements can protect the interest of a family business, and an individual's assets (or a portion thereof) can be preserved for children of a prior marriage instead of all going to the new spouse in the event of a divorce or death. Postnuptial agreements can be utilized for asset protection even subsequent to a marriage.
